Southgate PTA: Volunteer Opportunities

Committtee Chairs

Committee Chairs are an important part of this unit. The chairs of events/committees will work closely with the executive board liaison, as well as the committee volunteers to plan and execute our successful events! The board will provide the chair with the budget, a committee proposal template and a list of the volunteers signed up.

Committee Members

Assist the committee chairs to plan and run events.

Fundraising

Work with the board to set up various fundraising events like food fundraisers, Ninja Lab nights etc.

Room Parents

Room parents will assist the classroom teacher with the 3 in class parties we have during the school year. Fall Festival (October), Winter Party (December) and Friendship Party (February).

Welcome Back Night - drop off your supplies for the year and have a treat

Trunk or Treat - a fun afternoon of Trick or Treating

Turkey Shoot - a fun night shooting baskets with friends & a chance to earn prizes

Storytime with Santa - come see Santa for a picture and stop by Allie's to grab hot coco and a treat!

Multicultural Fair - an even of cultural celebrations with booths, food & entertainment

Skate with Southgate - skate with your friends at Guptil's Skating Rink

Gator Bowl - Kingpin Alley's welcomes us to bowl and have fun

Teddy Bear Clinic - Albany Med students open up their stuffed animal clinic for our students & families.

Book Fair - Scholastic book fair sets up during school for a week and an evening at the end for families.

Day of Service - our school performs acts of service in memory of late coach, Peter Mravlja.
